Recycling Paper & Corrugated packaging decreases solid waste disposal, saves water as well energy, as compared to making paper from trees and other plants. As paper is made up of cellulose fibers derived from wood, rags, grasses etc., on recycling of paper products, collected fiber is then reused to make new paper, allowing lower demand for new raw material. Sources says around 96% of paper packaging recovers after recycling to make new paper. Recycling also helps in preserving resources. Every ton of recycled paper saves around 15 trees.
